How To Make Iced Coffee With A Blender

Iced coffee is a delicious and refreshing alternative to just plain old hot coffee. With how much we spend on iced coffee at various establishments, it is possible to treat ourselves at home by simply using some left over coffee in your coffee pot, some additional ingredients, and a blender.

For a delicious fast recipe for iced coffee you will need the following:

1/3 cup milk of your choice

1 cup of ice cubes

1 or 2 tsp of sugar to taste

2 TBSP of Ice Cream, choose your favorite flavor

2/3 cup of very strong left over coffee or fresh (whatever you have)

A Blender

A Tall Glass

First step is have the coffee be warm and dissolve the 1 to 2 tsp of sugar in it.

Second, add 1/3 cup of milk and stir.

Third, add the 1/2 cup of ice cubes and the sweet coffee into the blender.

Fourth, turn on the blender for a couple pulses to break up the ice a bit.

Fifth, add your 2 TBSP of ice cream and blend on medium setting.

After the coffee and ice have blended, add the other half of the cup of ice to the blender and blend until it is nice and smooth.

Lastly, you pour your freshly made iced coffee into your glass and enjoy.

This recipe will make your iced coffee a little frothy so if you do not like your iced coffee this way you can simply add less ice and more coffee, then at the end just add in some ice cubes after the blending process. This is just a simple recipe that you can tweak any way you wish to your taste and desired consistency.

It is certainly a nice treat to be able to make for yourself especially in the summer months when you want a cup of coffee and it is too hot to think about drinking anything hot. Iced coffee is also an alternative to indulgent desserts, and can certainly save you some calories. You may want to serve it to your guests at a gathering, as some who do not like hot coffee may be more likely to go for coffee when it is blended and iced.
